Terry Lewis Participates as Panelist in Bush v. Gore Conference at FSU College of Law
Terry Lewis, a former Circuit Court Judge, recently participated as one of the featured panelists at the Florida State University College of Law’s conference commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the United States Supreme Court’s decision in Bush v. Gore, the case that resolved the presidential election in 2000. The conference was held on February 28 and March 1, 2025, and featured keynote addresses and remarks from counsel in the landmark case and Florida’s current Secretary of State, Cord Byrd. The event also included panels featuring other federal and state court judges, former Florida Supreme Court Justices, several of the nation’s top election law scholars, and other key figures in the case.
Judge Lewis presided over several of the election litigations cases, including the aborted state-wide manual recount that had been ordered by the Florida Supreme Court. Judge Lewis is a member of the Firm’s mediation and arbitration team and has over thirty years of judicial experience.
